PRATHAM WINS BIGG BOSS 4

ratham emerged the winner of the fourth season of Bigg Boss reality show beating his competitor Kirti Kumar. Actress Rekha came third. Actress Malavika Avinash came fourth and actor Mohan was fifth.

Pratham maintained a clear lead all along as he had been nominated for eviction from the house for a record number of times and was saved by public voting. Pratham was also a favourite among the public in various fora including the social media sites. A tarot card reader who had entered the house had also predicted Pratham as the most likely winner several weeks back.

Pratham who is an aspiring director and has a film that he is directing on the floors has been dedicating the votes he won to the people of Karnataka which has caught the imagination of the public.

Pratham wins a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh and a Bigg Boss trophy. Pratham in his speech sought his father Mallanna’s permission to donate the entire prize money for noble causes. He also promised that he will not use a single rupee from the kitty that he has won.

Host Sudeep who announced the winner said he is also giving award Rs 10 lakh as prize money from his pocket for the runners up that includes a trophy.

BIGG BOSS 4 PREMIERES ON COLORS KANNADA OCT 9

olors Kannada will premiere reality show Bigg Boss in its fourth season on October 9 at 6 pm. The show will have 15 celebrities, 55 cameras and will run for 100 days in one house. Kichcha Sudeep is back as host of the show for the fourth season as well. The opening of the Bigg Boss 4 will be telecast on October 9 at 6 pm which is basically the introduction of all the contestants who get into the house. The reality show will be telecast from Monday, October 10 at 9 pm daily on the Colors Kannada channel.

Ravish Kumar, business head of Kannada, Bangla and Oriya, Viacom18 told reporters on Tuesday night that the channel is committed to growing the market in Kannada. He said Colors brought international shows into the market and is committed the audiences in the region.

Sudeep said he is eager as ever to know who the contestants are. He said as always the show will have new contestants, new behaviours, new mindsets, new fights and added that he didn’t know what to expect.

Parameshwar Gundkal, business head of Colors Kannada and Colors Super said there’s more curiosity and excitement about the show this time among the audiences including himself. He said the popularity of the show can be partly attributed to the format. He said it is a challenge to be impartial and neutral. He said the show will have a mix of big personalities and some interesting personalities entering the house. He said the show will have new tasks for the contestants and some old classic and popular tasks as well.

Gundkal said Bigg Boss 4 will be an emotional show and not a controversial show. He said the format of the show did not allow them to disclose the names of the contestants as it would kill the curiosity and also result in cartelization.

He said contestants will include a journalist, a sportsman, a politician and people from the entertainment industry.
