UDAYA TV TO TELECAST TWO NEW SOAPS FROM APRIL 11
According to the channel’s programming head Sudheendra Bharadwaj, Udaya TV has decided to encourage original storylines and cater to the changing tastes and preferences among television viewers. Bharadwaj said both the new serials that will begin after Ugadi festival will reflect the native values and local culture and are devised to be so.
Aramane is being produced by actress Jayashri Raj and is directed by M N Jayanth. The serial stars Jaijagadish, Yamuna Srinidhi, Sudha Rani, Padmini Prakash and newbies like Apoorva, Shreya Anchan, Ninad and Rahul. Ganesh Hegde is the cinematographer.
Aramane is about a superstar’s life who undergoes turmoil in his personal life. A danseuse lives separately and away from her husband who has a daughter. The daughter goes in search of her father with the hope of setting things right for her mother.
Meanwhile, Sundari is shot in the Malnad region and it looks at the lives of young students who spend a lot of their time at school and in the lap of nature. Vinaya Prasad plays the mother and how she faces the world raising her children in this environment is what steers the story.
The serial stars Sithara (who is originally from Nepal), Deepak, Manjunath Hegde, Bali, Ambuja, Rajnikanth and Vikas.
