UDAYA TV TO TELECAST SERIAL ANANDA BHAIRAVI FROM JULY 25
U
daya TV will telecast a new teleserial Ananda Bhairavi from July 25 at 9 pm from Monday to Friday. Ananda Bhairavi will be the first Kannada daily soap to be shot in Varanasi. For the first time, the channel authorities showed the serial’s making and content on a big screen exclusively for journalists.

The story of Ananda Bhairavi revolves around rebirth and love between a young aghori sadhu (ascetic) Agni who is settled in Kashi and an Indian-American girl Bhoomi. Why does Bhoomi love Agni and what is it in Bhoomi’s life that turns the course of her existence? The serial tries to answer these questions in an interesting way.

Sudheendra Bhardwaj, programming head of Udaya TV, is confident the serial will manage to woo the Kannada audience. "The teaser of our serial has already managed to garner great interest among viewers. We have finished 50 episodes of the serial shoot in Varanasi. It is not an easy task to shoot the serial in Kashi. But our team worked very hard to make it happen," he said.

He said Shankar Mahadevan has sung the title song and added that the channel also plans to attract viewers with melodious title songs.

The serial also has some scenes on the banks of the Ganga river.

Ananda Bhairavi has been directed by Renuka Prasad and produced by editors Raju Aryan and C Ravichandra. Sunaad Gowtham has composed the music. H S Venkatesh Murthy has penned the lyrics for the serial’s title track. Chandru Gowda has written the screenplay and Krishnanda Sharma has penned the dialogues.

Senior television actress Swathi will be seen in a negative role in Ananda Bhairavi. She said she was initially scared to do a negative role but said she would have repented had she not accepted it. She said her role is challenging and thanked her co-stars, director and producers for supporting her without whom she couldn’t have performed.

Sachin Kademaada and Chandana Devaraj play Agni and Bhoomi respectively. The cast includes Rajagopal Joshi, Sushma Nanaiah and Vasanth and some artistes from North India.
