‘PATAAKI’ TRAILER LAUNCHED
The trailer of the Kannada film Pataaki, which is a remake of Telugu film Pataas, was launched in Bengaluru on Monday. A special trailer on the not good shots was also released by the cinema’s heroine Ranya which is meant to introduce fun element in the activity. The film is written and directed by Manju Swaraj and is produced by S V Babu. Director Manju Swaraj told reporters that the film is in the final stages of post-production and the film’s music will be released soon. He said the trailer that was put on facebook had clocked more than 20 lakh views. He said the film is inching towards a release in May. He said it was a challenge to remake the Telugu film but added that 40 percent to 45 percent of the screenplay had been changed to suit Kannada nativity. He said remaking a successful is difficult as the film-maker tends to lose judgement over the content which is strong when an original film is made. Also, the audiences would know what to expect in the next scene, he said. The director said for the first time Ganesh will be seen playing a cop and his sharpness has made his task easier as he had misgivings about casting and remaking the film itself. He said producer Babu is passionate about film-making and it was his idea to remake Pataas. He said the shot composition of the Kannada version had changed with Sadhu Kokila’s character being an addition. He said a mobile app has been released which gives details of the film’s specialities and elements including trailers, photos and now even tickets can be booked. He said there is a comments column as well to elicit views on the content. He said one more song is yet to be shot following which the film will be released.
