anatantra, a romantic thriller will release in 150 theatres all over Karnataka on March 18. The film is being distributed by Rajanna. The film is produced by S Ramesh and directed by Adhiram. The film stars Vijay Raghavendra and Haripriya in lead roles.

Vijay Raghavendra told reporters on Saturday that the film has all the ingredients to make it an interesting watch. He said Ranatantra has good music, crime, thrill, humour, romance and is an interesting love story.

Haripriya said the film had entered an interesting genre for the audiences to watch. She said post-production work had delayed the film’s release. She said as the subject was a thriller most of the shoots happened in the night.

Director Adhiram said Ranatantra is a powerful subject with a good screenplay. He said the IT culture had made Karnataka into what it is today. He said they had used mantra for the thriller scenes without going into details.

He said the dubbing rights for the film in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam had been sold and that there is a possibility of the film being made into Hindi.

Producer Ramesh said the film has got a U certificate from the censors.

Music album of Vijay Raghavendra’s Ranatantra released
he music album of the film Ranatantra was released at a simple function in a preview theatre in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening.

The film stars Vijay Raghavendra, Haripriya, Aishwarya and Satyajit among others in the lead.

Speaking on the occasion, Vijay Raghavendra said the film will be a complete entertainer for the audiences as it has a good storyline.

Haripriya said Ranatantra is a love story with a thriller element blended into its narration. “We had night shoots for the film the portions of which will appear in the second half. I had a harrowing experience as I got almost drowned in a pool. We experienced rough sea in Goa and overall it was an adventurous experience for me which makes the film special to me,” she said.

Aishwarya who has acted with Duniya Vijay in Simhadri said she enjoyed working with Haripriya and Vijay. “Haripriya shared some acting tips with me and Vijay treated me like a friend although I was a newcomer,” she said.

Director Aadhiram who is debuting in Kannada said a lot of hard work had gone into the making of the film that included taking a lot of risks during the film shoot. He said the film has shaped up well and hoped the audiences will like the film.

Velu of Lahari Music who has bought the audio rights of the film Ranatantra said the film was technically sound. He said the computer graphics and the digital imaging work for the film was being carried out at his studio and so he had the opportunity to get a sneak preview of the movie’s rushes. He also said the lyrics of the songs were good.

Three songs of the movie were shown to the audiences including the media that included a item song performed by Meghana Naidu.

Senior artiste Satyajit said he is playing a negative role in the film as father of the heroine who opposes his daughter’s love exploits.

Lyricist K Kalyan also spoke on the occasion.
