aveen Krishna has said an emphatic ‘no’ to participate in the ensuing season 4 of the reality show Bigg Boss. He said he was asked to step in to the house during the first and second season and was not asked in the third season. However, this time he said there is no invitation from the channel but media seems to be speculating about the likely candidates who are likely to enter the house ahead of the programme. Naveen Krishna is currently directing Girija Kalyana for Colors Super channel that is sister channel of Colors Kannada that airs Bigg Boss.

Naveen Krishna said he is not acting in any films. “After doing Actor, I have lost interest in acting and I don’t know why that has happened. I am happy doing Girija Kalyana that has completed 35 episodes of telecast on Colors Super channel at 9.30 pm from Monday to Friday,” he said.

Actor Naveen Krishna has turned director with Girija Kalyana. Sandalwood actor Chetan Chandra whose last film was Jaathre is playing Lord Shiva in the serial. Naveen Krishna says direction is new to him although television is not new as he has acted in a few serials before.

Naveen Krishna says Girija Kalyana is not a mythological but it is a fictional periodical. It is like a 'once upon a time' story, he clarifies. It is basically about a kingdom whose ruler hates Lord Shiva but who has a devotee as a son, who falls in love with Girija, an ordinary girl who like him is a Shiva devotee.  A drama ensues in which even the Gods play a role that forms the narrative, he says.

The serial is produced by the makers of Baahubali. The film is being shot in Karaikudi in Tamil Nadu where a huge cost of Mount Kailash has been put up.

Debutant Bopanna plays Rajavardhan the prince while another Aishwarya of Anuroopa fame plays Girija. Mico Manju, Sapna Raj, Lakshmi Hegde and Vijay Koundinya as the king Amaradeva are also in the cast. Chetan Chandra is playing a full-fledged role as Lord Shiva and Nithya Ram plays Parvathi.  Ramesh Bhat, Rajesh, Srinivasa Murthy, Pranaya Murthy, Mandeep Rai are making special appearances in the serial.

KOMAL TOO SAYS ‘NO’ :  Meanwhile, Komal too has said he will not be part of Bigg Boss that is going on air in October.

He said he is not participating in the show and that the reports about various names being dropped as contestants of the show is speculative. Komal said he has not been offered and will not participate even if it is offered because of his reluctance to be on television.

Komal said he is an introvert and a private person by nature and that Bigg Boss doesn’t suit his temperament.
