THITHI WINS BEST FILM AWARD; VIJAY RAGHAVENDRA, MALASHRI WIN BEST ACTOR AWARDS

hithi has won the best film award for 2015 from the government of Karnataka. Marikondavaru has bagged the second best film award and Mythri has won the third best film award. Vijay Raghavendra has won the best actor for the film Shivayogi Sri Puttajjaiah and Malashri has bagged the best actress award for her performance in Ganga.

Surprisingly, the committee did not announce the recipients for the prestigious Dr Rajkumar, Dr Vishnuvardhan and Puttanna Kanagal awards. A separate committee headed by Bhagwan will announce the awards for them, it is said.

Following are the other award winners for 2015:

Best First Time Director Movie - Rangi Taranga

Best Story: Saroj Katkar (July 22, 1947)

Best screenplay: Shashank, Raghu Kovi (Krishna Leela)

Best Dialogues: Eregowda (Thithi)

Best Cameraman: Ananth Urs (Last Bus)

Best Music Director: Sridhar V Sambram (Krishna Leela)

Best Editing: Srujith Nayak (Chandikori)

Best child actor: Master Likith Sharma (Astavakra)

Best child actress: Mevish (Savi Nilaya)

Best Art Director: Avinash Narasimharaj (Last Bus)

Best lyrics: V Nagendra Prasad (Muddu Manase)

Best playback singer (male): Santhosh Venki (Preethiyalli Sahaja)

Best Female playback singer (female): Shamitha Malnad (Bekku)

ನವದೆಹಲಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮಂಗಳವಾರ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರಪತಿ ಪ್ರಣಬ್ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ೬೩ನೇ ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ಚಲನಚಿತ್ರ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಪ್ರದಾನ ಮಾಡಿದರು. `ತಿಥಿ` ಕನ್ನಡದ ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮ ಚಿತ್ರ ಗೌರವಕ್ಕೆ ಭಾಜನವಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ರಾಮ್‌ರೆಡ್ಡಿ ಪ್ರಶಸ್ತಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

PUNEETH SUPPORTS THITHI, FILM RELEASING ON MAY 6

ower Star Puneeth Rajkumar has lent his support to the Kannada film Thithi that won the national award for the best Kannada film. The trailer of the film was released and the film will be commercially released on May 6.

Puneeth told journalists before leaving for Australia that he loved the film and compared it to the Hollywood classic Gods Must Be Crazy.

Director of the film Raam Reddy thanked Puneeth’s presence and support and called him a friend, hero and the idol.

Raam Reddy said the film which has 100 characters with 160 pages of screenplay was made over a period of more than three years. He said the film was made possible because of three people of the same family and friend Ere Gowda. Reddy said Channe Gowda, son Thamanna and grandson Abhishek of the same family were responsible for the film to be made. He said he along with Ere Gowda found other special people and is a film made for all.

Thithi is the first Indian film to feature in Locarno festival in eight years. Thithi has won 10 international awards. It won the best film award in Bengaluru International Film Festival this year and was the inaugural film. It is now the inaugural film at the New Delhi Kannada film festival starting from Saturday.

Popular radio jockey Rapid Rashmi compered the meet.
