VIJAYENDRA PRASAD’S DEBUT DIRECTORIAL FILM ‘SRIVALLI’ READY

ell-known film script writer and father of director S S Rajamouli has completed his first directorial film ‘Srivalli’ in three languages – Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. The film’s trailer, songs and audio are ready and Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar released the trailer and audio CD of the film at a function in Bengaluru. The film is produced by Rajkumar Brindavan.  

The audio of the film’s Telugu version has been released already. Srivalli is a sci-fi thriller and according to director Vijayendra Prasad the film has undergone a thorough study besides saying that the content is new and untried in any language so far.  

Puneeth Rajkumar congratulated Vijayendra Prasad who is a fatherly figure and S S Rajamouli’s father for directing a Kannada film. He said the graphics looks professionally done and the trailer also looked different. He said sci-fi thriller is a rare genre.  

Executive Producer Sunitha Rajkumar said she is fortunate to have Vijayendra Prasad as director. She said Srivalli is a science thriller and expressed her intent to produce more films with different concepts. She said science is helpful but what happens when people misuse it is what the story is all about.  

Director Vijayendra Prasad said he felt Dr Rajkumar’s presence and added that the actor’s films were an inspiration to him. He said Rajkumar could have become chief minister and could have attained superstardom in other languages but he stuck to Kannada. He said Rajkumar lived in utmost simplicity which is worth emulating.  

Vijayendra Prasad said the film is a sci-fi thriller. He said it is difficult to read the mind and when a professor decides to read the mind the heroine volunteers for the experiment. How science helps her is what the story is all about.  

Rajat said he plays Gautham who truly loves his girl and does everything for her. Neha Hinge winner of Miss India 2010 title said the film was a wonderful and a tough journey which had made her stronger. She said she plays Srivalli, a daughter of a scientist who goes through an experiment and how that changes her life. She said it was tough and challenging for her to play eight different characters so early in her career.  

Aditya Music has acquired the music rights. Srilekha has composed the music but was not present. Captain Chowdary, a Bengalurean plays an important role. Rajiv Kannakaala, Hema, Arhaan Khan, Sathya, Jhansi, Raksha, Sufi Sayyed, Satyakrishna, Surekha Vani  are in the cast. Raja Shekara is the cameraman of ‘Srivalli’. Shiv Shakthi Datta, SS Dharmendra and Pradeep are lyricists. The Telugu version was translated into Kannada by Dharmendra.
