SRI SIGANDUR CHOWDESHWARI MAHIME RELEASING ON APRIL 8

ri Sigandur Chowdeshwari Mahime, a socio-devotional film will release in about 40 theatres on the auspicious occasion of Ugadi on April 8. The film is being distributed by M N Kumar. The film is written, directed and produced by Shashi Kumar. Nagaraj is the executive producer of the film.

The film stars Sudha Rani, Harish Raj, Shubha Punja, Sanjana Prakash, Ramesh Bhat, Tennis Krishna, Girija Lokesh and Shankar Bhat among others.

The film has three stories. The first story is that of a rich family that does not believe in God. They turn to God after they face difficulties. The second story is that of a poor family where a drunkard and a wayward does not look after his widowed mother. But, Goddess Chowdeshwari’s divine intervention changes all that. The third story is that of youths who come to the Sri Sigandur Chowdeshwari Kshetra to visit the Goddess. But, the trip turns into one that is of fun and frolic. How Chowdeshwari Devi changes them forms the remaining part of the story.

The film will also talk about how Sigandur Kshetra, which is located about 60 kilometers from Sagar taluk in Shivamogga district, has emerged as a pilgrimage centre.

Sudha Rani has performed the role of Chowdeshwari Devi. L N Sastry has scored the music.

Shashi Kumar said the film will also talk about how Sigandur Kshetra, which is located about 60 kilometers from Sagar taluk in Shivamogga district, has emerged as a pilgrimage centre.

Harish Raj said he longed to visit the Kshetra but he couldn’t for a long time. He said he was lucky to have acted in the film which allowed him to stay in the place and have darshan for four days.

Shubha Punja said she was lucky to be part of the film as she is a devotee of Chowdeshwari Devi. Sanjana Prakash said this was her first film. Sudha Rani has performed the role of Chowdeshwari Devi. However, she was not present at the meet.

Dharmadhikari of Sigandur Chowdeshwari Kshetra Ramappa praised the movie.
