annada film ‘Parachandi’ set against a rural backdrop has completed its shoot in Kollegala and has used the town’s slang to the hilt in the movie. The film is produced by K C Shivanand who  has taken over the reins of a film that had been stopped. The movie is directed by Zoom Ravi. The film has Vinay Rangadhol’s music and Raj Kadur’s camera work. The film stars Mahesh Dev, Kalpana, Kuri Ranga Bond and Nethra in key roles. Vasudeva Rao, the producer’s brother is keen in five shades in his role in the film.  

Zoom Ravi told reporters that the film’s title relates to the stubbornness of a child. The film is based on an incident that happened in 1957 in a family. When two stubborn lovers are in love what happened takes a fictitious turn in the narrative, he said. The hero and heroine have worn just one costume throughout the movie while all the artistes have worked bare foot during the entire shoot proceedings, he said.  

The director said the film has two songs and eight fights. He said for the first time the fights have been composed along with the dialogue narration. Mahesh Dev plays the hero who is an atheist while Kalpana who has come from the small screen plays a pious village girl. Kuri Ranga Bond said he has been paired with a girl for the first time in a movie. He is paired with Nethra in the movie.
