NAMMOORA HAIKLU’ GETS U/A, RELEASING ON JUNE 30
‘Nammoora Haiklu’ has got a ‘U/A’ certificate from the censors and is now all set to release in about 150 theatres all over Karnataka on June 30. The film is being distributed by Lokesh. The film is produced by Nagenahalli Srinivas and Raghu Raj. Raghu Raj plays one of the main leads in the film. The film is written and directed by Prasanna Shetty who has also penned the lyrics.

Director Shetty said the film is based on his book Oora Usabari which deals with universal problems. He said the film is comedy and about how youths solve a problem in their village. The film has been shot in Doddaguntakula near Hassan. The film has been shot in Mandya, Melukote and Mysuru. Shakeel Ahmed has scored the music.

Kuri Sunil plays one of the five guys. He said the film was successful in revival a car festival that had been stopped for a few years. Producer Nagenahalli Srinivas’s son has also acted in the film as one of the five guys.

Deepti Manay said she visits a village from the city and what happens then on is worth watching. She said two songs have been picturised on her. Mamatha Rahuth said she plays Savithri who is a rugged character sporting a shorts and a shirt and one who is smoking a bidi all the time.

Manu is the choreographer.

NAMMOORA HAIKLU AUDIO RELEASED

ormer chief minister and producer H D Kumaraswamy released the audio of Nammoora Haiklu at a function in Bengaluru. The film is produced by V Srinivas. The film is written and directed by Prasanna Shetty who has also penned the lyrics for the songs. Shakeel Ahmed has scored the music.

Producer Srinivas said the film is set against a rural milieu. He said the film is about five lazy guys in a village who become responsible and take it upon themselves to improve the living conditions of their village. He said leaders create problems for these guys and how they come out of the problems forms the story.

The film has been shot in Doddakunigal village near Hassan. The film has four songs.

Raghuraj, who is one of the heroes is also the co-producer. Kuri Sunil who plays one of the five guys said he was lucky to have shared a room with veteran comedian Umesh during the shoot. Producer’s son Vinay Ram is also one of the five guys. Teju and Pavan Kumar are the other guys.

Mamatha Raut said she is a hero with the film’s heroes. She said she sports shirt, shorts and lungi in the movie.

Music composer Shakeel Ahmed said though Urdu is his mother tongue Kannada is his favourite language.

 Senior journalist Girish Rao alias Jogi said he had come to the audio release to release two books and did not know the director of the film Prasanna Shetty who has authored the books. Prasanna Shetty has directed the film for the first time.

NAMMOORA HAIKLU LAUNCHED
‘Nammoora Haiklu’, a new Kannada film that is written and directed by debutant Prasanna Shetty mounted the sets. The film is produced by Srinivas who is also the vice-president of Shivanna Fans Association.

Prasanna Shetty told journalists that the film goes back to the good old days when people lived in villages. The film showcases the village life and said the film turns the spotlight on how villages have changed in the last four or five decades. He said the film has five guys who have their regular dose of ‘ragi mudde’ and sleep on the pyol. The film is about these guys transform their village into a model and a prosperous village.

The director who is also penning the lyrics said the film will be shot for 45 days in Doodakondagula village and the songs will be picturised in Kulu-Manali and Darjeeling.

Pawan Kumar of Majaa Talkies and Kuri Sunil are the two known faces among the five guys. Tejesh Kumar, Prashanth Vishnu and Vinay Ram are the other three new guys. Deepti Manay who played the lead in Hingyaake plays a girl who comes to the village from the city. Mamatha Rawat plays the second heroine who even puffs a bidi in the film. Rachita is the third girl.

Shakeel Ahmed will compose the music. Producer Srinivas said the film will be made on a budget of Rs 1 crore.
