BOX-OFFICE COLLECTIONS FOR ‘MADUVEYA MAMATHEYA KAREYOLE’ PICKS UP

ox-office collections for Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole is picking up by the day. This was disclosed by the film’s producer Dinakar Toogudeepa. He told reporters in a thanksgiving meet that the collections have risen by 25 percent to 30 percent incrementally from the release day and thanked the media, technicians and artistes for contributing to the early success of the film.

Director Kaviraj said he had imagined all roles to be realistic or close to reality in terms of behaviour, costumes and the drama. He clarified that he had taken incidents from real life that he had seen in his life.

Anant Nag said media was responsible for the Kannada film industry to move base from Madras (Chennai) to Bengaluru. He said he made it a point to read reviews of all newspapers and felt happy reading them. He appreciated the efforts of all reviewers in dissecting the film’s content and performances from scene to scene. Anant Nag thanked the print media for the positive reviews.

Sharath Lohitaswa said Kaviraj had worked in all departments and hoped that the film would go on to complete 100 days. Bullet Prakash thanked the producer and director for giving him such a role.

Achyuth said he readily accepted the role without even listening to the script fully. He said his role had the depth and added that all the actors had scored like how players do in a 20-20 cricket match.

Sunder said he played a big role in a movie for the first time and added that he had watched the movie three times while liking it every time. Shalini who is now referred to Selfie Shalini said people had now started calling her by her name. She said she was feeling bad that she was called by her popular screen names and not her real name before this film. Shalini said getting into movies was a small step and expressed confidence that good roles will follow her.

Sangeetha said director Kaviraj had drawn good performances from all the artistes by giving the necessary space and freedom.

Cinematographer K S Chandrashekar said he had never worked in a family entertainer.

Suraj said it was a dream come true to work with legends. Amulya thanked the media for the support.

The kids Keerthana, Om, Vaishnavi, Shivatanay and Khushi who have worked in the movie were also introduced to the journalists.

MADUVEYA MAMATHEYA KAREYOLE’ TO HIT THE SCREENS ON JAN 8
‘Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole’, a romantic comedy and a family entertainer will release in 150 theatres across Karnataka on January 8, 2016. The movie marks the debut of lyricist Kaviraj as a director. In Bengaluru, the film will release in Movieland theatre besides other cinema halls and multiplexes on January 8.

The film stars Ananth Nag, Amulya, Sooraj, Achyuth, Chitra Shenoy, Sangeetha, Sharath Lohitaswa, Chikkanna, Sundar, Shalini, Sadhu Kokila, Bullet Prakash and Shobhraj among others. The film is produced by Dinakar Toogudeepa under the banner Toogudeepa Productions. V Harikrishna has scored the music and K S Chandrashekar is the cameraman. K M Prakash is the editor.

Lyricist turned director Kaviraj said Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole is a family entertainer and a family story and not exactly a wedding movie. He said the movie deals with human values and relationship between two families. It is a family story and less of a love story, he said.

Anant Nag plays Krishne Gowda who is a retired college principal and is a jovial character. Anant has many shades to his role including a few action sequences. Achyuth plays a parallel character in the movie and love is seen from the family point of view.

Sunder, a popular television actor and a theatreperson is playing a comical role in Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole. Popular television actress, radio jockey and stand-up comedian Shalini is debuting in movies with this film. She plays Selfie Shalini in the movie who is obsessed with taking selfies and has an unimaginable dress sense.

Chikkanna plays the hero’s friend in the movie and Bullet Prakash is seen sharing the screen space with Anant Nag for the first time.

Debutant Sooraj was chosen as the hero among 5,000 people who were auditioned for the role. Amulya has driven a bike in the movie. Amulya has also danced to a tapunguchi number again after Gajakesari.

Producer Dinakar said Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole is their fourth production. Dinakar has also clarified that Darshan will not be acting in the movie or not making an appearance. The film is co-directed by Mallikarjun B Sankangowdar.

Shalini, another popular television actress and now a standup comedian as well said acting in a movie was a first time experience. She said when the role came to her she couldn’t say yes or no to the offer. She said she was happy to have acted in a movie which she dreamt of. She said she plays Selfie Shalini in the movie who is obsessed with taking selfies and has an unimaginable dress sense with her wearing colourful costumes. But, she said the comedy scenes are realistic.

Chikkanna said he plays the hero’s friend in the movie and Bullet Prakash said he was acting with Anant Nag for the first time.

Debutant hero Sooraj said he was lucky to be chosen as the hero among 5,000 people who auditioned for the role. He said it was a dream come true for him and that too from Darshan’s banner. He said Amulya had no airs of stardom and Anant Nag made it easy for him by cracking jokes so that he could become compatible. Sooraj said he was looked after like a baby.

Amulya said she did all that she couldn’t do in her earlier films. She said she drove a bike and never felt bored or unhappy for even a single moment. Amulya said director Kaviraj instilled confidence in her during her dubbing. She said she has danced to a tapunguchi song again after Gajakesari. She said she got an opportunity to exhibit all her skills in the movie.

Producer Dinakar said the casting went off well and Kaviraj had done his homework before he began work. He said the film is ready for release and will hit the theatres in December end or early January 2016. Maduveya Mamatheya Kareyole is their fourth production and Dinakar said Darshan is not acting in the movie or not making an appearance. The film is co-directed by Mallikarjun B Sankangowdar.
