annada suspense thriller film ‘Maargi mounted the sets last week at a temple in Bengaluru. Senior film publicist Nagendra Rao sounded the clapboard for the movie. The film is produced by J Rajanna and directed by Shivaraj and it stars television newscaster Sheetal Shetty in the lead role who is now popular following her stint with Bigg Boss.

Director Shivaraj told reporters that the film is about a girl who is speech and hearing impaired who lives overseas but comes to India to write a story. The director said the girl visits a farmhouse where she encounters two baddies. How she struggles there and comes out of it is what the story is all about, the director said.

The director said the film revolves around four characters and it happens within the confines of a house. The film has no songs or fights. He said the film will be shot in a farmhouse on Mysuru Road in a shoot schedule lasting 30 days. While Sheetal Shetty plays the speech and hearing impaired girl Nitya plays her friend. Vishnu Vijaya and Bhushan are the villains.

Uday is the cameraman. Rithwik will be scoring the background music and Vijeth is the editor. Madakari Manju has penned the dialogues.
