KRISHNA RUKKU RUNNING SUCCESSFULLY

rishna Rukku, a Kannada film starring Ajai Rao and Amulya is running successfully a week after its release. The film is directed by Anil Kumar and is produced by Uday Mehta.

Ajai Rao said Krishna Rukku cannot be regarded as a remake as the original Telugu film-makers have praised the team and stated that the Kannada version is better than the original.

He said Krishna Rukku was the only remake in the Krishna series as he wanted to help the producer. Ajai Rao said Sridhar’s songs of the movie figure in the top five.

Director Anil Kumar said he now understood the importance of being a writer and director. He said people are liking the movie and Amulya is getting recognized as Rukku.

Producer Uday Mehta said Krishna Rukku had got star value and added that the team will visit theatres next week.

Amulya said she was happy to be part of the movie and the continued success of Krishna series. She said people had started calling her as Rukku.

Music composer Sridhar Sambram said Krishna Rukku was his fourth film with Ajai Rao, second with producer Uday Mehta and the first one with Amulya. He said he was happy that the songs had become successful.

KRISHNA-RUKKU RELEASING ON FEB 26

rishna-Rukku will release in about 170-180 theatres all over Karnataka on February 26. The film is produced by Uday Mehta and directed by Anil Kumar. Jagadish Wali is the cinematographer. The film stars Krishna Ajai Rao and Amulya in lead roles.

Producer Uday Mehta says all the areas have been sold or taken away by the distributors. There are some expectations from the new pairing of Amulya and Ajai Rao as they are being paired together for the first time. Three songs composed by Sridhar Sambram have already become popular chartbusters.

Sridhar Sambram had scored the music for all the Krishna series movies. He has composed a sufi duet number sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal which is a special attraction song.

The film has been shot in Chikkamagaluru and its surroundings.

The film is about how children mature with age and Krishna-Rukku is about what happens in everyone’s homes. Songs have been picturised in Bangkok.

Amulya plays a bold and a boastful girl but Ajai Rao dominates her. Amulya sports a traditional look as the movie has a village subject.

KRISHNA-RUKKU AUDIO CD RELEASED
A
ctor Srimurali released the music CD of Krishna-Rukku at a function in Bengaluru on Wednesday evening. The film stars Ajay Krishna Rao and Amulya in lead roles. The film is directed by Anil Kumar and produced by Uday Mehta.

Speaking on the occasion, Srimurali thanked the media for supporting his movie Rathavara that released last week. He praised Krishna-Rukku director Anil Kumar for his good work and said Ajay and Amulya make for a good pair on screen. He said Ajay Rao looked intense on the screen and praised the film’s camerawork by Jagadish Wali.

Sridhar Sambram who had scored the music for all the Krishna series movies has composed the music for Krishna-Rukku as well. The special attraction of Krishna-Rukku is a sufi duet number sung by Sonu Nigam and Shreya Ghoshal. Puneeth, Karthik, Anuradha Bhat, Sangeetha, Shashank Seshagiri and Shweta Prabhu are among the others who have sung for the album.

Director Anil Kumar said producer Uday Mehta had kept up his word by offering him a directorial opportunity. He said Jagadish Wali had shown Chikkamagaluru in its glory like never before.

He said the film is about how children mature with age and as they grow up and Krishna-Rukku is about what happens in everyone’s homes. Anil Kumar said the songs are situation based. He said fresh and new locales have been used to picturise the songs in Bangkok.

Amulya said producer Uday Mehta had maintained the schedule to the last detail. She said though she plays a ‘bajaari’, Ajai’s character is more dominating than her. She said her role in the movie is that of a boastful girl. Amulya said she sports a traditional look as the movie has a village subject.

Ajai Rao hoped that the Krishna series success will continue and added that it was like working at home in Uday Mehta’s banner which had started the Krishna series. He said he and Amulya made for a cute pair and labeled Amulya as a beautiful heroine.

Director Shashank of Krishnan Love Story wished the team good luck and hoped that Krishna-Rukku will surpass all the other records of the Krishna series.

Anand and Shyam of Anand Audio were also present. Shyam said he hoped the same magic of Krishna series will continue.
