KIREETA’  TRAILER LAUNCHED, READY FOR RELEASE
T
he trailer of the upcoming Kannada film ‘Kireeta’ was launched at a function in Bengaluru on Saturday. The film is produced by B H Chandrashekar while it is written and directed by Kiran Chandra who has also doubled up as a lyricist. The film stars debutant Samartha, Deepti Kapse, Lekha Chandra, Rohini Singh, Manjunath Gowda and Dinesh Mangaluru among others. Srikanth is the editor and Sameer Kulkarni has scored the music. Paramesh C M is the cinematographer.

Director Kiran Chandra told reporters that the film is ready for release. He said the film’s audio will be released next month and the movie will hit the screens in February. He appreciated Samartha’s efforts to get into the role by preparing himself and getting trained in dances, fights and dramatics. He said Samartha has struggled for close to eight years to get a break. The director said about himself that he had worked with many directors in films which did not get completed or got shelved which made it embarrassing for him to talk about his work.

He said the film is about the various crowns that people wear in their lives for others and for themselves. The director said the film is about love, sacrifice, rivalry, jealousy, distrust and pride and the struggle that is involved to build one’s life amidst all these emotions. Also, how these emotions affect people physically, emotionally and mentally is what the film is all about, the director said. He said the film is based on real incidents but clarified that the film is not a rowdyism subject.

The director said the cameraman has been the eye of his dreams. Sameer’s background music score is good and so are the four songs that he has tuned, Kiran Chandra said. Deepti didn’t understand what was expected of her but she did well, he said. Manjunath Gowda has shined in his performance. Samartha has been effective in delivering 12 pages of dialogues in one take.

Cameraman Paramesh praised the hero and director’s commitment and hard work in completing the film. Music composer Sameer Kulkarni said the director changed his perspective itself in the re-recording stage.

Producer Chandrashekar said the film’s budget has been Rs 1.5 crore so far and added that he believed in the story and the vision of the director besides the hard work put in by the hero as well.

Manjunath Gowda said he got more scenes because of Ugramm. He said there was some competition between him and Samartha in delivering lines as Samartha showed a lot of dedication to his work.

Deepti Kapse said she plays a middle-class girl who lives alone and the problems that she faces. She said when she started work on the film she didn’t know anything about acting and added that she was scared when she saw the dialogue sheet. She said she is now confident about the film after seeing the trailer.

Lekha Chandra said she was impressed with Samarth’s stunts. She said the director used to teach whatever was expected from her. She said she plays a cute girl next door in the film.

Samartha became emotional that he got a break after years of struggle and thanked the producer and director. He said director had scripted a story for him and sacrificed an offer to direct a big film for a star for his sake. He said he wanted a mass story and not a regular story for a launch. He said Kireeta is a technicians film and the story is the hero. He said cameraman was magnanimous in reshooting some scenes with his money to get a better output.
