CHILDREN’S FILM KEERTHIGOBBA RELEASING ON FEB 5

eerthigobba, another children’s film is set to release in about 40 theatres across Karnataka on February 5 and the movie is being distributed by Kulkarni. The film is produced by C T Thippeswamy and C S Mahehswarappa. The film is directed by Mahesh Chinmay. The film stars Master Tejas, Shiva, Abhinaya, Sangeetha, Aravind and Venkatesh among others.

Producer Thippeswamy told reporters that the film Keerthigobba is about children’s minds can be moulded. The film talks about the harmful effects of plastic and why it spells disaster to society besides tackling child labour. The film shows children themselves opposing child labour and fight for its abolition. The film has been made at a budget of Rs 60 lakh.

Producer Maheshwarappa said the film turns the spotlight on pollution. He said the film has got a U/A certificate from the censors.

Director Mahesh Chinmay said every family needs a son to keep it going. He said the film is based on various newspaper reports that deals with twin issues of child labour and plastics. He said the film had been shot in Chitradurga, Hosadurga and Nonavinakere.

Master Tejas said Keerthigobba is his fifth film after Dildaar, Saniha, Naavu Geleyaru and Makkale Manikya. Shiva said he plays a supporting role in the film while Manjunath said he plays a cook in the movie.

Maharaj has scored the music for the movie which has four songs. He had earlier scored music for Gundaragovi.
