usic composer Hamsalekha fresh from his 65th birthday celebrations launched the title of the film Kamsaapura in Bengaluru on Saturday evening at the Kanteerava Indoor Stadium. He also released the motion poster of the single song audio on the occasion.

Hamsalekha said he ruled the music industry as an emperor once upon a time. But, he said now there are 85 music composers in Kannada cinema who are making Kannada a rich industry and Ganesh Narayan is one among them. He said it is commendable that Ganesh Narayan has written the story, screenplay and is turning director with this movie. He wished Kamsaapura to become Hamsaapura. He said the producer is encouraging body building activity besides building his own business.

S A Chinne Gowda also wished the team good luck.

Karnataka Film Chamber vice-president Umesh Banakar said whoever comes to the music field Hamsalekha will remain a music composer. He said unemployed people should pray to producers for giving them employment.

Awards were given away to body builders on the occasion by Hamsalekha by producer Subramanya Sharma. Winners of the body building competition got trophies, certificates and cash awards.

Sharath, Anjana Deshpande and editor Sai were present. Sanchari Vijay was also present. Producer Subramanya Sharma is the grandson of former president of India Dr Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan.

usic director Ganesh Narayan has turned story writer and director with Kamsapura, a love story set in an imaginary village called Kamsapura. The film is produced by Subramanya Sharma and it stars Sharath and Anjana Deshpande in lead roles.

Director Ganesh Narayan who is also scoring the music for his debut directorial movie said Kamsasura is a common village love story. He said the team initially planned to shoot the movie in Shivamogga but he said after seeing a jathre in J P Nagar, Bengaluru he saw a village kind of environment in Bengaluru itself. Now, he said the team is yet to decide whether to shoot in Malnad region of Shivamogga or in Bengaluru.

He said Kamsapura will be a tech cinema with new technicians working in it. He said people will like it as they see the movie and promised that the climax will haunt and disturb the audiences. The music director turned director said other artistes are yet to be selected and added that shoot for the movie will begin in July.

Producer Subramanya Sharma who is Indian President S Radhakrishnan’s grandson said he is producing his first Kannada film with Kamsasura after making two or three Tamil and Telugu films. He said he intends to provide employment to 2,000 people from the current headcount of 700 as he runs his enterprise under the name Subhiksha.

Somashekar is debuting as a cameraman and Sri is the editor.

Sharath who played one of the heroes in Ka and yet to be released film Kshamisu said he plays a village guy in Kamsapura without revealing much about his role. Anjana Deshpande said she is acting in her third film. She said in Kamsapura she plays an innocent girl who has just completed her college education.
