KAHI’ RELEASING ON NOV 4

annada film Kahi will release on November 4 all over Karnataka. The film is directed by debutant Arvind Shastry. Rekha Venkatesh and Nagasheela Prakash have produced the film under the banner of Boiled Beans Pictures. The film stars four protagonists – Hari Sharva, Krishi Thapanda, Mathangi Prasan and Suraj Gowda.

Director Shastry told reporters that Kahi is an experimental film made at a budget of Rs 60 lakh and the entire story happens in Bengaluru. 

The film is about four protagonists who cross one another’s paths at a point of time. While Hari is a drug peddler, Vidya is a dancer and Akhila is a writer-teacher and a housewife, Raghu is a psychopath youth. The director said all the protagonists have two faces to their characters – one that is for themselves and the other one is for the world around them. The film showcases different emotions and faces of these protagonists according to situations to the world.

The director said the film has twists and turns in a story that happens in a month without giving an inkling about the lives of the four protagonists. The film was shot for 35 days in Bengaluru.

Separate teasers for individual artistes of all the four protagonists were released recently along with the movie’s trailer.    

Mathangi Prasan plays a dancer in the movie. Hari plays a drug peddler while Suraj Gowda plays a psychopath alcoholic drug addict who brings the beast out of him. Krishi plays Akhila, a housewife and a writer-teacher.

Mithun Mukundan has composed the music in his second film although this is his first release. Prashanth R S is the cameraman along with Vinyas C K.

he trailer, songs and separate individual artiste teasers of the movie Kahi’s four protagonists were released at a function in Bengaluru. The film is slated for a release in November. Kahi is directed by debutant Arvind Shastry and produced by Rekha Venkatesh and Nagasheela Prakash under the banner of Boiled Beans Pictures. The film stars Hari Sharva, Krishi Thapanda, Mathangi Prasan and Suraj Gowda.

"KAHI" IT’S NOT ABOUT TASTE BUT ABOUT LIFE!

ravinda Shastri’s debutant directorial movie ‘Kahi’ has completed its shooting and post production is in progress. To share the experience of the shooting, the team convened a press meet on Jan. 29 in Green House.

Addressing the media, Aravinda Shastri, director of the movie said, ‘Kahi’ movie is not about taste but it is about life. The movie has gone on floors last August, 2013. We have shot for 35 days around Bengaluru. The movie itself about Bengalurean’s life style’ he said.

‘In the movie there are four protagonist characters who are a director, a writer, a drug peddler and a psychopath respectively. Sooraj Gowda, Harishiva, Matangi Prasanna and Kushi Aparna are playing the roles’ he said.

Khushi Prasanna described her role as more matured character.

‘I’m basically a classical dancer. Earlier many producers approached me for acting. But I didn’t give nod for those offers as I didn’t like those scripts. But as the script of ‘Kahi’ was unique, I accepted the offer. Acting in the movie was really wonderful experience to me’ said Matangi Prasanna.

Harishiva, One of protagonist of the movie said, ‘Basically I’m a theatre background artist. I use to work as assistant director in theatre. As the characterization was very good, I accepted to work in the movie and I’m playing a drug peddler character in the movie’ he said.

‘Though there are four protagonists in the movie, the story itself is the hero of the movie. I am playing a psychopath role which has got lot of emotions’ said Sooraj Gowda.

Producers Rekha Venkatesh, Nagasheela Prakash and Music director Mithun Mukundan were present in the press meet.

KAHI’ YOU HAVE SWEET EXPERIENCE ON SCREEN
A
nother bunch of youngsters with dedication and concern of course with high qualification are out in the middle for a Kannada film titled ‘Kahi’. 

A film by Boiled Beans Pictures went on the floors in the direction of Aravind Shastry a software engineer. He has different shades of people and picks south Bangalore for showcasing it. He has worked for one year. Former employee of Accenture is getting good accent from his colleagues to make a film. The feeling of the film need not be bitter experience for audience. It will be engaging. It is about study of metro life. Four tracks are in this film and all of them are intertwined. 

‘Kahi’ stars Sooraj Gowda, Mathangi, Krishi Tapanda, Harish Sharve with cinematography from Prashanth, music from Dr Mithun and editing by Niranjan. 

Smt Rekha Venkatesh and Smt Nagasheela Prakash are producers of this film.
