walantham, a suspense thriller will release on February 5 in about 100 theatres all over Karnataka. The film is being distributed by Jayanna Combines. Anu Rao is the producer and the film is directed by newbie Ambarish. The film stars Jwala, Deepti and Deepa Gowda in lead roles.

Director Ambarish told reporters that the film is being supported by Sudeep and Shivarajkumar who watched the film’s trailers. He said the trailer has go 3 lakh hits on the Net. He said Jwalantham is a complete package for the audiences as a suspense thriller, love story and an action film. He said the film has some thrilling moments when the hero is buried. Ambarish said comedian Pavan of Maja Talkies fame is acting as a single comedian for the first time in the entire movie.

Jwala said he had doubts about doing the role in the movie initially but he said the director convinced him and brought him around. Deepti said she is hoping that the audiences will react positively and like the movie. Yashwant Shetty from Neenasam and National School of Drama is acting as a villain. Pavan said he would like to be called a director’s actor and added that the director had not given any boundary or framework to perform.

akshit Shetty released the audio CD of the forthcoming film Jwalantham at a function in Bengaluru on Friday evening. Jwalantham is produced by Anu Rao and directed by B M Ambarish. The film stars Jwala, Deepa Gowda and Deepti in lead roles. Vikram Subramanyam and Finny Kurien have scored the music.

Speaking on the occasion, Rakshit Shetty said people are accepting newcomers and new ideas. He said Kannada films are now being remade into other languages. Rangitaranga is a shining example of how new Kannada films are being welcomed by audiences, he said.

Director Ambarish said he had worked hard to become a director. When he narrated the script to the producer, he said the producer told him to create a trend in Kannada. He said Finny Kurien will create a trend in melody with this movie. He said technicians are real heroes of the film. He thanked cameraman Srinivas A and announced that the movie will release in November. He said himself and Vikram Subramanyam visited various producers in search of opportunities as a director and a music composer.

Jwalantham has songs sung by Anirudh of Kolaveri Di fame, L N Sastry on farmers, Nikita Venkatesh, Haricharan, Job Kurien among others.

Another trailer of the movie was launched on the occasion.

Producer Anu Rao said he never thought he would produce a film but had nursed ambitions of producing one. He said his first production Jwalantham will appeal to all sections of audiences.

Debutant Jwala said Jwalantham is not a normal movie. it is a movie that will appeal to masses and classes.
Nirup Bhandary who came straight from Mysuru after celebrating his mother’s birthday wished the team of Jwalantham good luck and hoped that the film would become successful like Rangitaranga. He praised the film’s trailer.

Radhika Chetan said people have begun to like and accept films made by new teams which will have some novelty in them.

walantham has completed its shoot and will have its audio launch in the month of September and probably release in October or November.

This was indicated by film director Ambarish at a press meet on Thursday. He said the team had spent Rs 15 lakh on erecting a set to picturise an item song that was being done by a Mumbai dancer.

The team also released its second teaser and director Ambarish said the response to the first teaser was encouraging. He said Jwalantham, which is a suspense thriller is derived from the Ugranarasimha shlokas. The film has also turned its spotlight on the farmers’ plight.

Producer Anu Rao said the film has novelty and had been shot in Bengaluru, Kanakapura and extensively at Honnavara beach.

Debutant Jwala said he plays an archeologist who faces problems when he goes on exploration. Heroine Deepa Gowda said Jwalantham is a story that happens in our surroundings. She said 60 percent of her portion of the shoot was shot in the beach. She said she plays a daring and an ambitious journalist in the movie.

Deepthi said she prepared herself to do the role after being in modeling and fashion designing. Music composer Subramanya said the music will be powerful as much as the title.

Co-producer Rajesh Raikar also spoke on the occasion.

‘Jwalantham’ movie has completed its talkie portion shooting which is shot in Bengaluru, Honnavara, Kanakapura, Ramnagar and Channapatna. The song shooting is still pending which will be shot in second schedule’Ambarish B.M., debuting as director to Sandalwood said.

Releasing the making video and first look of the movie, ‘the movie has got a distinct title which is definitely going to attract the audience. The word ‘Jwalantham’ emerges in Ugra Narasimha shloka which looked catchy title for the movie. The movie is going to focus on the conflict between Farmers and Capitalists and other social problems’ he said.

‘Hero of the movie is an Archeologic student who intends to invent about a serious problem. On his way to invention, he faces series of problems. How he overcomes such problems is the story of the movie’ he disclosed.

‘The movie has got all commercial elements like comedy, sentiment, love and mass aspects which will definitely entertain the audience’ he expressed confidence.

‘Basically I am from Malur with NSW graduation. I have even done diploma in direction at Hyderabad’ he said.

Jwala, hero of the movie said, ‘My original name is Gowtham. But in the movie protagonist character name is Jwala. Whenever I faced the camera, the name of Jwala inspired me a lot to perform well. Therefore I have decided to change my cinema name as Jwala itself’ he said.

‘Basically I’m an engineering student. I was working in Chennai for some time too. As I was passionate about acting, I have done lot of preparations to become an actor. In scenes like comedy, romantic, stunning stunts, I have done my best just because of the co-operation of the director Ambarish’ he lauded.

Deepa Gowda who has already acted in ‘Ka’, ‘Just Madveli’ and one more movie is the heroine of the movie. She is playing a journalist character. She helps hero to succeed in his invention in the movie. ‘I’m playing an ambitious girl role in the movie’ she said.

Another heroine Deepthi Kapse is playing a de-glamorous village girl role.
