JIL JIL READY TO HIT SCREENS ON SEPT 2

il Jil, a Kannada film with a tagline ‘one life one love’ will release in about 35 theatres all over Karnataka on September 2. The film is produced by Venkatesh Prasad. The film is directed by Madhu who has also written the lyrics and scored the music. The film stars newcomers Dhananjaya and Puvisha in lead roles.

Director Madhu told reporters that the film Jil Jil is a different love story that is close to reality. He said the film has been shot in picturesque locales of Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Sakleshpura, Nelamangala, Kolar and Bengaluru.

Puvisha said Jil Jil is her first Kannada film and is a performance-oriented role. She said she had acted in four Tamil films so far. She said Jil Jil had given her good mileage and that it is a good love story with all expressions – love, hatred and social message. She said songs in the movie are a plus point. She praised the producer for supporting her and the cameraman for shooting the sequences in good angles. She said Dhananjaya and the director helped her with the dialogues.

Dhananjaya who hails from Chikkaballapura said it is a different love story and that Jil Jil is his first film.

TRAILER AND AUDIO RELEASED FOR JIL JIL

he trailer and the audio of the film Jil Jil was released by renowned lyricist and writer Sriranga (Bhangiranga) at a function held amidst the presence of visually and mentally challenged children in Bengaluru. The film is directed by debutant A Madhu. Journalist Venkatesh Prasad Belaguli has now turned producer with this movie which carries a tagline love of life.

The film stars debutant Dhananjay and Puvisha in lead roles. The movie also stars Sumathi Patil, Ravikumar Dasarahalli among others.

Producer Venkatesh Prasad said he never thought of producing a film. He said as a journalist he could have imagined himself to be a script writer or a dialogue but due to Madhu’s reference he turned a producer. Prasad said he was not prepared for this role as a producer but said there was not much of a difference between print media and cinema as both were creative in a way but cinema is a bit different.

He said the film is produced under the banner Sri Belaguli Honnammadevi Productions which is their Gramadevathe in Hassan district.

Director Madhu who has written the story, penned the lyrics and composed music said Jil Jil is about One Life One Love. While the hero says life the heroine says it is love. There is a change in emotions, he said and the film is a replica of everyone’s lives.

Dhananjay said it was a dream come true for him to be hero of a movie. Puvisha, who had acted as Deepika Padukone’s sister in Chennai Express said she is debuting in a language that is new to her.

Singers Ajay Warrier, Shashank Seshagiri, Ananya Bhat participated in the event. Roopa Gururaj compered the event.
