he audio of Kannada film Hulidurga was lanunched on Saturday at a function organized at Renukamba Mini Theatre in Malleswaram. Hulidurga film mounted the sets two years and is ready for release shortly. Three songs and a trailer of Hulidurga were screened at Renukamba Mini Theatre on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, producer K Sudhakar said the story of Hulidurga is about an orphan youth plans his future.
Vikram Yashodhar, who makes debut as an independent director in Sandalwood with this film, said the script narrates how an orphan youth, who resides in a temporary tent at a village and earns livelihood by pasting posters, falls in love with a girl. “Hulidurga has all ingredients needed to entertain the audiences,’’ said director Vikram Yashodhar.

Thanking producer Sudhakar for giving an opportunity to play the hero role in Hulidurga, Supreeth, the hero of the film, said the producer encouraged him to act in this film even though he is a fresher and do not have any stardom. “It is the greatness of producer who invested money to honour our 15-year-old friendship,’’ Supreeth said.

Wishing the crew of Hulidugra a great success, character artiste Gururaj Hosakote said he happened to play a Muslim character in Kannada film Jogi and it made him to confine to such characters in other films. “I am basically a folk singer. Acting in films happened by accident,’’ said Gururaj Hosakote.

Replying to praises showered on him by playback singers and other technicians, lyricist-cum-director Dr Nagendra Prasad has said that he was very happy with the progress of debutante director Vikaram Yashodhar. “He worked with me for eight years. Now, he became an independent director,’’ Prasad said.
