HUMBLE POLITICIAN NOGRAJ’ LAUNCHED
‘Humble Politician Nograj’, a political satire and a comedy mounted the sets on Tuesday morning at a temple in Bengaluru. The film’s shoot is expected to start in March. The film is produced by Pushkar Mallikarjuna, Rakshit Shetty and Hemanth Rao. The film is being directed by Saad Khan. The film stars Danish Sait in the title role, Sruthi Hariharan, Vijay Chendur, Sumukhi and Roger Narayan in key roles. Karam Chawla is the cameraman.

Popular radio jockey Danish Sait said he and director Saad Khan scripted the story together. He said as a RJ he used to make prank calls and he was an RCB insider known as Mr Nags and this movie is a natural progression of all his earlier efforts. He said the film has a message at the end. He said the film is a mix of Kannada and English with situational comedy in it. He said the producers have given them complete creative freedom to come with this script.

He said Internet has thrown up more stars than television and cinema in the recent past. He Sumukhi, a stand-up comedian is one such shining example who is part of the film. Vijay Chendur plays Manjunath, the politician’s assistant and Roger Narayan of U-Turn fame is playing a key role.

Danish Sait said the film is not meant to poke fun at someone but it is a character that has been created based on observation.

Rakshit Shetty said the film’s script was okayed by Hemanth Rao and Pushkar and so did he like the narration as he added the director knows his story well.

Sruthi Hariharan said it is an unconventional and experimental subject which will have a different presentation. She said she enjoys the process of being part of such different and unconventional scripts. Roger Narayan said the film will be a unique one.
