‘ERADANE SALA’ TO PULL OUT FROM THEATRES, RE-RELEASE IN A MONTH
He told reporters that he has filed a complaint with the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce regarding the absence of the director in promoting the film. He said in spite of the absence of the director the film had got good reviews and support but it was not enough in the face of stiff opposition as the film was promoted as a Guruprasad’s film.
He said Guruprasad had left the team and gone though he was the one who chose the artistes and technicians. He said all the help was extended to him during the last four years of the making but the director backed out at a crucial moment and did not promote his own product. He said the film has not reached the people despite getting positive feedback from people on social media. He said the release was planned but it was a bad date (March 3) as they couldn’t get theatres for release in Bengaluru.
Yogesh said the film is in a coma and hence after holding discussions with the KFCC the film will be released again. He said Guruprasad had been creating trouble at every stage and the whole film was a package which he didn’t pursue to its logical end. However, he said Guruprasad had made a good film which was enjoyable and entertaining. He said he had great respect for the director’s creativity and work but his attitude and time were simply not enough. The producer said it looked like Guruprasad was not ready with the script when the film was announced but luckily no money was spent on production during the period. Guruprasad became busy doing reality shows on television which did not allow him enough time to script the story.
Dhananjaya said he could not get to talk to him. He said there was pressure on us not to promote the film. But, he said cinema is bigger than personalities and added that the producer had carried the film on his shoulders. He said the film has been defeated in the commercial system. He said he had invested a lot of time on the film and it was his duty to payback the producer who gave him the break when he had nothing on his hand.
Sangeetha Bhat said she is saddened by the producer’s step to withdraw the film and termed the step as a bold one. She said multiplexes had not given prime time slots for Kannada films and newcomers like her will get affected because so much of time and energy had been invested on the film.
Anoop Seelin said nobody has defrauded anyone. The film is bigger than anyone, he said.

Dhananjaya said the cinema should talk for itself more than he can do it. He said the film is a love story with a Guruprasad touch which also is a visual treat. He said Guruprasad has his own style and as an actor he was dependent on producer and director given the delay in the making of the film. He said Eradane Sala is dedicated to all mothers and as Lakshmi kept saying it is an urban story about the mushrooming of old age homes and such elder care homes.
RJ Nethra who hosted the audio release function said B R Chaya’s song will haunt the audiences.
Playback singer B R Chaya said she is happy to be kind of projected like a second heroine. She said her presence in the movie is there whenever there is heroine. She said she felt like listening to the song again and again and added that she was singing in a film after a long time.
Music composer Anoop Seelin said it is his second time with Jhankar and third time with Guruprasad. He said Chaya has rendered a special song in the film.
Distributor Mallikarjun of Toogudeepa Films said he has supported the film morally and added that the film has a Guruprasad touch. He said Dhananjaya and Sangeetha Bhat had acted well and not to mention Lakshmi’s performance.
Producer Yogesh Narayan said the film has been worth the wait although he was a bit annoyed over the delay. He said he wanted a director with an image and so Guruprasad fitted the bill to start off. He said Anoop Seelin has given several hits in the recent past and is truly been given the title Raaga Nidhi with this film.
The producer said the film will show Dhananjaya in new light. His talent and capacity as an actor will come to the fore. He said Sangeetha Bhat will be an actress to watch out after the film’s release. B R Chaya’s voice is a parallel to the heroine’s presence, he said.
Narayan said Eradane Sala is a romantic, cute and a retro love story, he said and thanked the director Guruprasad for giving a good film.
Sangeetha Bhat said she met Guruprasad on the reality show Life Super Guru before he mentored her and recognized her talent by giving a chance to work under his direction. She said it was an opportunity to work with a handsome hero like Dhananjaya. She said it has been a long time since Preethi Githi Ityadi but she has been active in Tamil films during this absence. She said Eradane Sala is her first film without make-up. Sangeetha Bhat said she will be seen in the movie without make-up throughout and added that it was a dream come true to work with Lakshmi. She said Guruprasad did not give her any script and was insisting on improvisation on the spot.
Director Guruprasad was conspicuous by his absence at the audio release function.
ERADANE SALA COMPLETES 60% OF SHOOT
Producer Yogish Narayan said the film had completed 24 days of shoot and that another 20 days of shoot was pending completion. He said he was aiming for a May release of the film. He said he and director Guruprasad had mutually agreed not to step on each other’s territory – business and creative side. He said Guruprasad had sought time for scripting and there were minor tiffs and differences between the two until the director came up with a script.
Dhananjaya said Eradane Sala was his second film with Guruprasad. He said the director was presenting him differently on the screen. The actor said he has one fight and is a love story that is differently presented. Scripting was time consuming and it meant a lot of patience for the whole team.
Cinematographer Samrat said he met Guruprasad during the Bigg Boss reality show and added that Eradane Sala is being shot in real locales.
Guruprasad who arrived late said the film had been delayed because of his other commitments towards reality shows. He said he was handling a love story for the first time and added that Lakshmi had been roped in to play the mother’s role in the film.
He said he had been working with a new cameraman everytime and promised that the film’s visuals would be good. He said Samrat had worked in Modi’s election campaign and added that he (director) had erected the sets for the film.
The team released posters of the film with the lead pair that had the same fonts from old classic Kannada films such as Anubhava, Naa Ninna Mareyalare, Milana and Daari Tappida Maga. He said he didn’t want to walk about the posters now or the campaign as he had the experience in a similar ad campaign during his stint with Hindustan Unilever.
‘ERADANE SALA’ LET IT NOT BE ‘KONE SALA’
The last six months Guruprasad has taken for start of the film and no heroine confirmation yet announced that he would release the film for this year Ganesha Festival. Highly confident guy Guruprasad says this type of Love Story film has not come anywhere.
For actor of his ‘Directors Special’ Dhananjay it was Santro I 20 Car gift on the muhurut day. The industry would give petrol for him as he has six films on hand stated GP. It is a ‘Swantha Mannina’ concept. I would not steal any one scene from any language promised Guruprasad without asking. The soul, juice etc will be of Kannada fragrance he says. I am sure a trend is going to come up with this ‘Love Story’ promises GP.

Producer Yogish Narayan of ‘Modala Sala’ said GP has the strength of showing simple in most effective way.
For Dhananjay it is like Sachin Tendulkar playing in the home ground Mumbai. Mahender Simha is the cameraman finds very intelligent atmosphere to work.
While the heroine is in search, the parent’s roles are played by Arundhati Nag and Dr Girish Karnad.
‘ERADANE SALA’ FROM ‘MODALA SALA’ YOGISH NARAYAN!
The film slated to go on the floors in October this year, finish shoot in three months and release in next Summer was addressed with very minimum of information.
The media questionnaire actually revealed some of the information from Guruprasad while all others said thanks and they are confident to work with Guruprasad.
According to Guruprasad ‘Eradane Sala’ for ‘Modala Sala’ producer cropped up in a discussion. For just like that Guruprasad told Yogish Narayan ‘Eradane Sale’ and that has been finally fixed as title.
The lovers in this film will be speaking only one sentence. There is lot of talks with other characters. Arundhati Nag, Arathi yesteryears actress will be inquired for prominent roles. The father role in this film will be performed by a newcomer by Guruprasad who is on his fourth venture - precisely ‘Nalkane Sala’.
It is ‘Eradane Sale’ precisely for cameraman Mahender Simha with Guruprasad, For Anoop Seelin it is Moorane Sale because he was with previous two films of Guruprasad, Eradane Sale for Dhananjay who acted in ‘Director Special’.
Answering questions from the media Guruprasad accepted that ‘DSP’ was for a section of the audience. My presence in the end deviate the film to a wrong note he admits. This film ‘Eradane Sale’ is also from his experience in life. What he had not seen in the last 25 years on silver screen will be part of the contents he assures.
Dhanjanjay, Anoop Seelin, Shivakumar, Yogish Narayan, Mahender Simha on stage also addressed on this occasion.
Hamsalekha, Jayanth Kaikini, Nagendra Prasad and Kaviraj have been entrusted to give a song this time. Kemparaj is editor of the film.
