hildren’s film ‘Eleyaru Naavu Geleyaru’ will release in more than 100 theatres and may go up to 150 all over Karnataka when it releases on June 2. The film is being distributed by Jack Manju. The film is produced by Nagaraj Gopal and directed by Vikram Suri. The film stars child artistes from the reality show Drama Juniors who have become a household name in the state.

Distributor Jack Manju said he is not used to watching television channels except for some news channels. But, he said once he started watching Drama Juniors he sat glued to it and saw all the episodes. He praised the producer’s involvement at every stage of the film-making process. He said he became interested in the movie because of the children.

Editor Kemparaj said the film had given him material to edit and added that the team had done its homework well. He said he liked the movie and added that the climax was interesting.

Producer Nagaraj Gopal said Eleyaru Naavu Geleyaru is a children’s film made in a commercial format which had not happened in the Kannada film industry for the last 25 years. He said at every stage of the film making corrections were made. He said if Drama Juniors was a programme based on a theme the movie is realistic with a message that unity is strength. He said 10 children in the movie represent 10 different skills. He said children in the movie will haunt the audiences after they watch them.

Dialogue writer Richard Louis said Drama Juniors created a wave of freshness. He said the children are so much full of energy and talent that it is a challenge to give them enough scope for everyone.

Child artiste Mahathi said through the film all the participants of Drama Juniors got a chance to meet again and work together. Puttaraju said it was shoot and fun at work. Tejaswini said it was easier to work in the movie than on the Drama Juniors set. She said she was waiting for the film to release as she said she was eager to see how the film had been edited.

usic composer Anoop Seelin and his wife Kriti’s tiny bundle of joy Baby Alapana did the honours of releasing the music of children’s film Eleyaru Naavu Geleyaru at a function in Bengaluru. The film is produced by Nagaraj Gopal and directed by Vikram Suri. The film features 10 child artistes from the Drama Juniors reality show.

Music composer Anoop Seelin said he wasn’t initially interested in making the tunes because it is a children’s film and an arty film. But, then he said after listening to the story he agreed to compose the music. The film has five songs. He said B R Lakshman Rao had written the lyrics for a tune that has been already made. He said the film’s climax is difficult to guess.

Producer Nagaraj Gopal said he had only pleasant experiences making the movie and no bitter experiences at all. He said this is a children’s film made for the children. He said the team was lucky to have a school prayer song written for the movie by B R Lakshman Rao.

Director Vikram Suri said he had not worked as a director as if it was his film but said it was a team effort. He said B R Lakshman Rao and Richard Louis have worked together for a children’s film. Editor Kemparaj said songs were the highlight of the movie. Arasu Anthare said he had written three songs and wished that Anoop should get an award for the compositions.

B R Lakshman Rao said he is known as ‘Prema Kavi’ but he was scared penning the lyrics for a children’s film. He said he had not written a song but had penned a poem. He wished that bhavageethegalu should become part of cinema music when a suitable story comes up for it.

Richard Louis said the film reminds us of our childhood days and added that the whole team worked like pieces that make for a cut-out.

All the child artistes Nihal Sagar Vishnu, Amog, Abhishekh Rayanna, Mahendra, Puttaraju, Mahathi, Tejaswini, Suraj and Tushar were present except for Achintya. Sanvi Shetty, Srikar and Samhitha delivered a few lines of the film’s song.

Production designer Vinay Bhat was also present. One song of the movie sung by Vijay Prakash was screened on the occasion.

riter and documentary film-maker Vinay Bhat took up the responsibility of the film as a project director. As soon as a decision was taken to produce the children’s film Yeleyaru Naavu Geleyaru the team went ahead with a project plan to execute the film in a corporate style.

Vinay Bhat was entrusted with the responsibility as a project director. He got involved in the planning process of film-making right from the pre-production stage (scripting) up to post-production stage and until the first copy of the film comes out. Vinay Bhat said he took up the task of executing the film as a project within the stipulated time and budget.

He said the entire process went as per plan and schedule and added that the film is on track to complete the post-production soon before the film’s audio release. Vinay Bhat said the film has five songs and a fight sequence. He said the film has been made in an entertainment format. Vinay Bhat has written the dialogues along with producer Nagaraj Gopal for the film.

hildren’s film ‘Yeleyaru Naavu Geleyaru’ has been produced with commercial values without compromising on its quality, according to its producer Nagaraj Gopal. The film which has completed its shoot is in the final stages of post-production. The film stars 10 child artistes who have become household names following the success of reality show Drama Juniors.

Producer Nagaraj Gopal who has also written the story of the film said the script that he had written demanded children to be cast for a film if it has to be made. He said the story was ready around three years back as doubts lingered in his mind about how he could get the right children to carry the film. But, he said after seeing Drama Juniors he gained courage to cast the young kids as the characters of his movie.

Gopal said he was waiting for the Drama Juniors to end so that he could begin shoot on his pet project. He said the film has been shot for 42 days. On managing the kids and get them to act, he said shot by shot and scene by scene details of the script were provided to the kids when they reported for the shoot. He said Harish Bhat who had handled the kids in the reality show took up the responsibility here as well as he knew how to draw good performances from them. He said the children were introduced to the characters that they were playing before beginning their shoot.

The producer who works as a quality management consultant for higher education institutions said he was surprised and dumbstruck when he saw the children perform beyond their brief. Nagaraj Gopal has produced the film Yeleyaru Naavu Geleyaru under the banner of Akash Productions.

The film is produced by Nagaraj Gopal and directed by Vikram Suri. Anoop Seelin has scored the music and Ashok V Raman is the cameraman. Richard Louis has penned the dialogues and screenplay while Vinay Bhat and Nagaraj Gopal have also penned the dialogues. S Sawant is the co-director and B S Kemparaj is the editor. Madan and Harini have worked as choreographers.

Producer Nagaraj Gopal said the film though has children in it has all the commercial ingredients in it to be called a regular commercial film. He said the film has 10 heroes and so it is not an offbeat kind of children’s film.

Director Vikram Suri said the film reminded him of his days as a child artiste while thanking each one of them in his team including his co-director Sawant in making the film. He said he had taken the first step in direction and it is an opportunity for him to become a director.

Richard Louis said he had stopped writing for films as he had lost the passion. But, on director Vikram Suri’s insistence he had come back to writing dialogues and screenplay and that he was visiting Chamundeswari Studio after 18 years. Editor Kemparaj said the climax is engaging and interesting and added that the children have not looked at the camera while acting in the movie.

The film stars child actors from Drama Juniors – Achintya, Nehal, Abhishek, Amogh, Puttaraju, Tushar, Mahathi, Tejaswini, Mahendra and Suraj. The film also stars Shankar Aswath, Srikanth Heblikar and Harini among others. The film has been shot in Channapatna, Mysuru, Theerthahalli, Keshavapura among other places in a schedule lasting 40 days. Hosamane Murthy is the art director.
