annada film ‘Chitta Chanchala’ has completed its shoot and post-production work is in progress. The film is produced by Karunakar and co-produced by Raghavendra Nayak and Sharath Kumar. The film is written and directed by YKU Sunder Yettinatti. Rajesh Raj has scored the music and Kumar Chakravarthy is the cameraman. The film stars newcomers Divam Kunder, Prateeka, Driti Sai, Chitra Shenoy, Prakash Heggodu and a host of theatre artistes.

Director Sunder told reporters in Bengaluru that the film is a love story and a suspense thriller with a touch of horror. He said the film is about the changes that a hero’s mind undergoes and the story is a village tale. He said the film has a twist every 30 minutes and it showcases Dakshina Kannada culture amidst nature against a village backdrop.

Producer Karunakar said he is a hotelier in Dakshina Kannada while co-producer Nayak is a soft drink maker and is also a schoolmate of director. Co-producer Sharath is also a hotelier.

Music composer Rajesh Raj said he is a singer himself and has given tunes to four songs. Satish Babu has scored the background music.

Prateeka said she is still studying in I PU at St Aloysius College in Mangaluru and added that she dreamt of becoming a heroine which has been fulfilled. She said she plays a village girl who hails from a poor family. She said the film starts with her love story.

Driti Sai said she is studying engineering and is playing second heroine in the movie. She said she has given dance shows and participated in singing competitions during her schooling and college days besides acting in a few plays. She said she was not too keen on acting in films initially but came around after this offer was brought to her. She said she is also enjoying support from her family which has given wings to her dreams.
