FILM INSTITUTE COURSE GETS BU AFFILIATION
Lyricist Doddarange Gowda, who is also the principal of the institute said the new course will have an intake of up to 30 students. Students who have completed their graduation in any discipline will be eligible for admission. He said the course will be hands on experience for young talents to hone their acting skills. He said the institute possesses modern equipment including 5D cameras, lighting, dubbing and editing equipment to train its students.
Bukkapatna Vasu, managing director of the institute said the new course will be conducted in the evenings between 6 pm and 9 pm from Monday to Friday which is intended to help working professionals also to become actors.
He said the film institute has a well-equipped gym with the intention to train them physically. The students will be encouraged to make documentaries and short movies. Successful students will also be provided with a free photo session at the end of the course, Vasu said.
The film institute, started about three years back also conducts short-term certificate courses in acting, direction, cinematography, editing and anchoring. The institute also conducts training in dance and music.

CENTURY FILM INSTITUTE BY BUNKAPATNA VASU
In the field of writing, production, editing, direction for last 25 years in Kannada cinema and television Bunkapatna Vasu has evolved ‘Century Film Institute’ besides maintaining his Time Line Creations.
The formal inauguration of the institute was made by 80 years young Master Hirannaiah. According to BV this institute with already 120 students teaches acting, direction, editing, dance and other skills. The job is assured for all the students because BV is already producer of various television programs.
The new CFI is situated at Kamakshipalya in the busy Magadi Road. BV recounted his coming to the industry addressing the media on Monday morning.
The main differences of this CFI compared to other institutes are Yoga, Fitness teaching at a nominal price, Kannada classes to improve the diction of the language.
Veterans like Ashok Sandeep, Vishal Raj, BS Basavaraj, Sudharani, PH Vishwanath, B Suresh, Ravi Garani, Vinu Balanja and others are in the faculty of teaching. It is 3 to 5 months crash course. For direction seven thousand, cinematography, editing, acting it is Rs.12000 etc goes the fees. BV intends to come out with publication ‘Adwaitha’ from his new set of developments.
