‘Bhagyaraj’, a Kannada thriller movie will release in Tribhuvan on February 5 instead of the earlier announced theatre. Bhagyaraj is produced by Siddaraju and is directed by Deepak Manuvanahalli. The film stars Loose Maada Yogesh’s brother Mahesh in the lead role for the first time. Jahnavi Kamath is the female lead.

With Tribhuvan being confirmed for release it remains to be seen in which theatre will 1st Rank Raju be accommodated to complete its successful 100-day run at the box-office.

annada film ‘Bhagyaraj’ that marks the launch of Loose Maada Yogesh’s brother Mahesh’s debut as an actor will release in about 75 theatres all over Karnataka. Jayanna Combines will be distributing the movie. Bhagyaraj is written and directed by Deepak Manuvanahalli and produced by T P Siddaraju of Loose Maada Yogi Productions.

Director Deepak told reporters that it is his first film as a director and that the film is based on an incident that happened in a rural area in 2003. He said the incident has been given a fictional touch and the village has been rechristened as Ramapatna. He said hero spends 80 percent of the time on his cycle. He said Bhagyaraj is a thriller subject.

Music composer Anoop Silin said the film is a complete entertainer and the story is good.

Mahesh said he had done homework before taking up this role. He said he plays Raju in the movie and did not specify other details.

Jahnavi Kamath said she plays Bhagya in the movie who is a disciplined girl.

The film also stars Arohita Gowda, Rupesh Kumar and Nataraj among others. Yogi has made a special appearance in a song that has also employed graphics.

Producer Siddaraju said Bhagyaraj is their fourth film made under the Sami Associated banner.

oose Maada Yogish’s elder brother Mahesh has debuted in ‘Bhagyaraj’, a film that saw its audio release at a function in Bengaluru on Thursday. Producer K Manju released the audio CD of the film. The film is produced by Siddaraju T P of Samy Associates. 

Songs and the trailer of the movie were screened before the audio was released into the market. The film is directed by debutant Deepak Madhuvanahalli based on Satyaprakash’s story and Manjunath Nayak is the cinematographer. Keshava Murthy has penned the dialogues and written a song. 

Director Deepak said Bhagyaraj is about Bhagya, the heroine and Raju, the hero. He said the film is a thriller as the story unfolds in a town called Ramapatnam. He said Bhagyaraj is about the hero and the heroine who get into difficulty and keep falling into deeper troubles and how they come out of it forms the rest of the story. The film has some thrilling moments, he said and thanked Samy Associates for giving him complete creative freedom and support in executing the project.

Deepak said Mahesh will get recognition as a hero and people will never see him as a debutant. He also praised heroine Jahnavi Kamath’s performance in the movie. Bhagyaraj is a typical nativity film, the narrative of which dates back to 2001-02.

Cinematographer Manjunath Nayak said he found it challenging and difficult to fulfil and realize director’s dreams.

Music composer Anoop Seelin praised the debutant director’s dedication to work. He said he was happy to have made V Manohar to pen lyrics for a song. He said he had presented Geeya Geeya song as a romantic number in the movie.

Singer L N Sastry commended Anoop for using local singers for the songs.

Speaking after the audio release, producer K Manju said there was a wave of new directors in the Kannada film industry and added that people will decide the winner.

Mahesh, Loose Maada’s elder brother said he was happy to debut as a hero in his home banner. He said he was happy to see myself on the screen and that his seven-year effort to get into the industry had fructified.

He praised his younger brother Yogish for supporting him and called him his elder brother in the industry. He said Yogish had supported him as an elder brother and thanked his parents for their support.

Mahesh said director Deepak had auditioned him and he said he played a small town good-for-nothing guy who falls behind a girl and gets into trouble. He said Jahnavi as his co-star supported him and performed well.

Mahesh’s mother Ambujakshi requested the audiences to support Mahesh in his career as he is now making a bow into films as an actor.

Producer Siddaraju also spoke.

Loose Maada Yogish said Bhagyaraj is a special film as his elder brother is becoming a hero. He praised the cameraman and music composer for their hard work and dedication. He said Mahesh is his elder brother and will remain an elder brother to him.
