CHILDREN’S FILM BAA MALEYE BAA GETS ROLLING

hildren’s film Baa Maleye Baa based on senior journalist Nagesh Hegde’s story Kereyali Chinna Kereye Chinna was launched last Friday. The film is produced by S N Rajashekar, Dr V Narayan, Ramesh and C Venkateshaiah. T N Nagesh is directing the movie. Krish Joshi has penned the dialogues and V Manohar will be scoring the music.

Director T N Nagesh told journalists that the film is about involving children in protecting our environment especially the lakes which are dying. He said the film will turn the spotlight on the importance of rainfall and the lakes. He said a ballet has been planned to impart education to children on the importance of lakes.

Journalist Nagesh Hegde said we need to preserve lakes for our future generation. Lakes are dying at a time when the state is facing increase in natural calamities. Lakes provide food to many creatures but land sharks are destroying the ecological balance.

Popular television actress Jayasheela said she is playing a teacher’s role in the film. She said she found the role to be challenging and liked the concept of the film.

Suchendra Prasad is also playing the role of another teacher in the film.

Master Gagan and Baby Chandrika who are studying in eighth standard and seventh standard respectively are playing key roles in the film.
