AMARAVATHI’ AUDIO, TRAILER RELEASED; DUE ON FEB 10
D
irector Shivamani released the audio CD of Kannada film ‘Amaravathi’ at a function in Bengaluru on Saturday evening. The songs of the movie were also shown. The trailer of the film was also released on the occasion. The film which has got an ‘A’ certificate from the censors will release on Feb 10 all over Karnataka. Amaravathi is directed by B M Giriraj based on his own story. The film is produced by Madhava Reddy.

Speaking on the occasion, Shivamani said director Giriraj has taken up an experimental and a contemporary subject and has highlighted the woes of civic workers. 

Director Giriraj said the film is based on the lives and woes of pourakarmikas who clean up our streets and cities. He said the nation is indebted to them for cleaning it. He said pourakarmikas went on a three-day strike after he had finished Jatta from which the city is still unable to recover as there is a garbage pile-up even to this day. He said life without pourakarmikas is difficult for citizens. The film stars Achyuth Kumar, Vaishali Deepak and a number of theatre artistes.  

Poornachandra Tejaswi has acquired the music rights of the film. Music for the film has been scored by Abhilash Lakra and Joyal Dubbi. Chandan Shankar has penned the lyrics and Kitty Arjun is the editor.

Producer Reddy said he liked the film’s story after his lone Telugu production flopped at the box-office.

Music composer Abhishek Lakra said the film has four songs which are all situational. He said if the audiences watch the movie they will like its songs.
