1986’ LAUNCHED
A
new film titled 1986 was launched at the Doddaganesha Temple in Basavanagudi on the auspicious occasion of Akshaya Tritya on Monday. The film is directed by Shashidhar who is a VFX technician and has worked in Hindi film Happy New Year and a Kannada film Daksha Yagna.

Director  Shashidhar said 1986 is a subject oriented film with three stories that happen in the year. He said all the three stories merge in the end to make the film a suspense thriller for audiences to watch. He however did not reveal other details. He said he narrated the story to his house owner who agreed to produce the film.

Producer Pradeep said when the director narrated the story he could see the film although he couldn’t judge. He said Nagabharana came on board and that reinforced our confidence in the film.

Roshni, a child artiste and now acting in her second Kannada film in a lead role said she plays an innocent girl who is literally deaf and dumb in the movie. She said she is pursuing her engineering degree in SJCE, Mysuru and her first Kannada film Ajaramara will release soon. She said she is also acting in the Telugu film Jaithra Yatra.

Prasanna Muddanna said he plays a journalist in the movie. Arjun who is playing a prominent role in teleserial Nagini said he plays the role of a taxi driver. He said the film has all the elements.

Nagabharana said he plays the role of a zamindar in the film. He said he usually doesn’t agree to act but thought otherwise and believed that he could do justice to his role. The film has elements of curiosity and the whole thought process is what makes the film interesting. He said the film will take the audiences back to 1986.

Nagaraj is the cinematographer who is working in his third film.
