`1944’ ಚಿತ್ರ ಈ ವಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ
ಜೈಭಾರತಾಂಭ ಮೂವೀ ಮೇಕರ್ಸ್ ಲಾಂಛನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಮೇಶ್ ಕೆ.ಆರ್.ಪೇಟೆ ಅವರು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ, `1944’ ಚಿತ್ರ ಈ ವಾರ ರಾಜ್ಯಾದ್ಯಂತ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಚಿತ್ರ ಎನ್.ಎಸ್.ರಾವ್ ಅವರ ರೊಟ್ಟಿಋಣ ಕಾದಂಬರಿಯನ್ನು ಆಧರಿಸಿದೆ.

ಬದ್ರಿನಾಥ್ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರಕ್ಕೆ ಛಾಯಾಗ್ರಹಣದೊಂದಿಗೆ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ರಾಜೇಶ್‍ರಾಮನಾಥ್ ಸಂಗೀತ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ, ವಿಜಯ್ ಎಂ ಕುಮಾರ್ ಸಂಕಲನ, ಸುರೇಶ್ ನೃತ್ಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನ ಹಾಗೂ ಡಿ¥sóÀರೆಂಟ್ ಡ್ಯಾನಿ ಸಾಹಸ ನಿರ್ದೇಶನವಿರುವ ಈ ಚಿತ್ರದ ತಾರಾಬಳಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನವೀನ್‍ಕೃಷ್ಣ, ಶೃತಿ, ಭವ್ಯ, ಶಿವಾನಿ ಸುಚೇಂದ್ರಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಧೀರಜ್‍ಸೂರ್ಯ, ಕಾಜುವಾಲಿ, ವೀರೇಶ್ ಬೆಳಕವಾಡಿ ಅದೃಷ್ಠ ನಾಗರಾಜ್, ಹಾಸನ ಬಾಬು ಮುಂತಾದವರಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಧ್ರುವ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿರೇಶ್ ಬೆಳಗಾಲಪೇಟೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ಬರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

he audio of the film ‘1944’ was released in Bengaluru on Monday morning. Also, the film is all set to release on August 5 all over Karnataka. The film is being distributed by Raju. The film is directed by debutant Badrinath who was once a cinema photographer. The film is produced by Paramesh K R Pete. The film stars Shruthi, Suchendra Prasad, Bhavya, Shivani and Naveen Krishna among others.

Director Badrinath said the film 1944 is based on N S Rao’s play Rotti Kruna which is set in the pre-independence era. He said the film will showcase an incident that happened in 1944. The film has a patriotic flavour and fervor.He said as a debutant director he thought by casting Shruthi and Suchendra Prasad in key roles it would help him. The film has been shot in Kanakapura, Hospete and Tavarakere.

Shruthi said 1944 is a period film as the title suggests that goes back to the pre-independence era. She said she plays the role of a wife who is caught between her love for the country and the husband who works for the British. She said she wanted to be part of the story that she has read in her history books. Shruthi also said she liked the story as a lot of changes had been made from the original.

Suchendra Prasad who spoke in chaste Kannada as always said he expected good encouragement for such movies from the people and the media.

Shivani said she has been accepting such film offers because they gave her scope to perform. She said she plays the role of Gowri who is a bold and a homely girl and is solidly behind Duggappa in what she terms it as a one-sided love affair.

Producer Paramesh said he was happy that he has made a good movie. C Music has acquired the music rights of the film. Rajesh Ramanath has scored the music.

eteran comedian and writer late N S Rao’s story Rotti Runa is now being made into a film with the title 1944.

The film mounted the sets on Monday following the pooja at a temple in Bengaluru. As the title suggests the film goes back to pre-independence era. The story is about a freedom fighter who goes to jail for raising a banner of revolt against the British Raj.

According to debutant director Badrinath the film is about a freedom fighter Duggappa who has twin objectives of seeing India achieve independence and at the same time seek revenge against the British Raj. Whether he achieves his goal forms the remaining part of the story.

Naveen Krishna is playing the role of Duggappa who gets jailed for revolting against the British. He told journalists that after Haggada Kone he is happy to get another performance-oriented role. Newbie Shivani who has acted in three films but is yet to see a release said she has been paired opposite Naveen Krishna but did not reveal her character. She said her character is a suspense.

Veteran actress Shruthi said she is playing the role of a woman who helps the prisoner against the wishes of her husband. She said the role is an opportunity for her pay back to the country in her own way as she couldn’t be part of the freedom struggle.

Music director Rajesh Ramanath has composed music for a song which was played to the journalists.

Director Badrinath said the film will be shot in Tavarekere and near a Kanakapura village. He has written the screenplay and dialogues besides directing the film.

Producer Paramesh of K R Pet said he had earmarked Rs 75 lakh as the film’s budget.

The film also stars Bhavya and Suchendra Prasad in prominent roles.
