AMBARISH 64, RAVICHANDRAN TO TURN 55 ON MONDAY

ebel Star Ambarish celebrated his 64th birthday on Sunday. Fans of the actor gathered at his residence in J P Nagar, Bengaluru to wish the actor. People from near and far-off places came to wish the actor on his birthday. A huge cake was brought into the house by his fan which was cut by the actor. Huge garlands were also brought in and the police had a tough time controlling the crowd. People took pictures of the actor and some were lucky to get selfies on their mobiles with Ambarish.Meanwhile, Ravichandran will be celebrating his 55th birthday on Monday at his residence with his fans. He has already indicated that he will celebrate his birthday in a grand manner with his fans this year. His latest film Apoorva has release to mixed media reviews and opinions from the public. 

SHANTARAM PASSES AWAY

enior actor anddirector Shantaram, 68, passed away on Sunday afternoon in a private hospital following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Shaila Shantaram. His brother Murali Krishna told cinecircle.in that he was admitted to the hospital on Wednesday due to renal failure and doctors attending on him said Sunday was crucial for his recovery as he was critically ill. Shantaram has acted in more than 40 films

BIRTH’ RELEASING ON JUNE 3, EYES RECORD BOOKS
‘Birth’ will release in 70 theatres all over Karnataka on June 3. The film is directed by Shivu Holalu and produced by Chandrashekar. The film stars Sriki and Duniya Rashmi in lead roles. Director Shivu Holalu told reporters that the team has applied to Guinness Book of Records for being a unique film. He said the hero and heroine in the movie will not be lip synching or moving their lips but they will be communicating through their minds and hearts with each other. However, the audiences will get to hear what the hero or the heroine is thinking or talking as the characters are directly interacting with the audiences and not with themselves.

NAAGARAHAAVU TO LAUNCH TEASER ON MAY 30

he teaser of upcoming film Naagarahaavu that stars Vishnuvardhan, Ramya and Diganth will be launched in Bhumika theatre on Monday, May 30 at 7.30 pm. The film is directed by Kodi Ramakrishna and produced by Sajid Qureshi. As a pre-cursor to the teaser launch, there will be a Dolu Kunita in front of the theatre starting at 4.30 pm on Monday and will continue till 7-7.30 pm until the teaser is launched officially. The theatre which is showing U-Turn will cancel its 7.30 pm show on Monday.

APOORVA MOVIE REVIEW

avichandran’s eagerly awaited film Apoorva has finally hit the screen and it shows that the actor has come of age. Apoorva is a deglamourous film which is in some sense an anti-thesis of a Ravichandran starrer. Buden Saab marries off his daughter to this man. He leaves for Mangaluru after taking money from the villagers with an assurance that he would get them a job in the Gulf.

uli will release in all multiplexes across the state and will have about 12 screens in total exhibiting the movie. Suli is Pranaya Raja Srinath and co-produced by T S Satyanarayana, The film is based on P H Vishwanath’s story and Damodar Shetty has penned the dialogues. Vishwanath himself has directed the film.
